According to the Star Tribune the following people are potential candidates to lead the DFL Party:
Tarryl Clark: the party's associate chairwoman
Betty Folliard: former DFL state representative
Kerry Gauthier: chairman of the 8th Congressional District
Hubert (Buck) Humphrey IV: failed candidate for secretary of state
Brian Melendez: chairman of the Minneapolis DFL Party
Mary Rosenthal: a longtime activist and labor union organizer
The most suprising name on this list is Buck Humphrey, who ran unsuccessfully for secretary of state in 2002. During the 2002 campaign, Buck's two previous arrests for drinking and driving, along with other numerous driving offenses became public.
