DFL INFIGHTING OVER CHAIR COMPENSATION
I spoke to a member of DFL State Central Committee today about the race to replace DFL Party chair Mike Erlandson. I was informed that a heated debate is currently being waged over whether the incoming chair will serve in a volunteer capacity or be compensated by the DFL.
Erlandson is not paid to be lead the DFL, but at least one of the three candidates hoping to replace Erlandson would like to get a paycheck.

My guess is that it is Betty Folliard that wants a paycheck. I remember when she was a legislator in Hopkins she claimed per diem for something like 200 days per year. When asked about it she said she need the extra money to make ends meet.
My assessment of the race is here.
