CHRISSY COLEMAN'S DOUBLE-TALK #2
"[St. Paul Mayor Randy] Kelly's main challenger, Chris [Chrissy] Coleman, accused Kelly of playing with statistics and actively supporting politicians who have undercut St. Paul's public safety. Coleman named Gov. Tim Pawlenty, who cut local government aid by $56 million, and President Bush, who ended federal grant programs that paid for cops, as equally culpable.
'Every major crime -- rape, robbery, murder, aggravated assaults -- they've risen every year under this guy's watch,' Coleman said. 'All the crimes that truly affect the quality of life in St. Paul.'" Source: Star Tribune, August 10, 2005

What Chrissy fails to mention is that if rape, robbery, murder, and aggravated assaults have risen under Kelly's watch, then they rose during the same time Chrissy was on the St. Paul City Council.
You can't have it both ways Chrissy.
