MDE IN THE NEWS
My post on illegal campaign activities inside Minneapolis city hall has been proven correct. I don't believe Conroy's story and I think the DFL should cancel the fundraiser.
I can report that interested parties are reviewing the "criminal statute" that could apply to Ms. Conroy's activities.
Stay tuned for further updates.

While I agree this was a bad decuision by her, I think calling off the event is a bit much. Lets me honest here, both sides do it.
This isn't a DFL issue or a GOP issue. Theer are plenty of folks on both sides who do this from City Hall, and from the Capitol.
While I am not saying it is ok, I do think that we need to look at this in the bigger picture. That being that no one side is innocent in this.
By the way, congrats on getting in the star tribune. next time netion me and send me some traffic!!
Trillin :)
Way to go, MDE! Congrats on the free pub!
I agree with Trillin. Calling it off is a little extreme. It's not like she did anything illegal.
Hey I thought the Strib was a socialist paper, why would they publish a yahoo like you?
DFL Governor: She did do something illegal. She in fact admitted it.
Someone should file a complaint with the Board of Professional Responsibility. City/State attorneys are supposed to be held to a higher standard than than the rest of us.
Melendez will lose all credability with the press if he doesn't cancel the event.
ReaganBlows: all I have to say to you is "Broken promises, Extreme postions." Remember that?
Are you talking about Norm Coleman?
I think you are overstating the Melendez angle. He is just offering his house it seems and will not even be there. The credabilty gap is with th women who sent it out. lets not get carried away here guys.
Like I said, both sides do this all the time. Does that make it right? No. But lets not throw stones from glass houses.
If anything the women who did it should be reprimanded, but lets not go overboard on this one
Trillin-
If both sides do this, then it is a problem. She needs to be made an example for everyone else.
As i said, she should be reprimanded, and such. However, lets give her the benefit of the doubt that it was a mistake until it is proven otherwise.
I would agree though that this is a problem. One which I think could be partialy fixed if local and state goverment offices were to better train their staff on what is appropriate work that can be done on their breaks and lunches. many do not realize that just because they are on break, doesn;t mean they can do political work from a govt computer.
Her excuse or reason she gave to the paper is a lie.
