So you think that the DFL should be fighting the confirmation? I don't understand, I thought you want him to be confirmed.
Face it, Melendez is the perfect chair, he's too lazy and inept to do anything. Remember the Minneapolis city convention?
I'm with Micah here. What's your problem with the Minnesota DFL (which has no direct influence anyways) not fighting the nomination?
I'm glad you admitted the DFL has no direct influence on the Roberts confirmation.
I am suprised the DFL is not trying to build support against Roberts being confirmed by the U.S. Senate.
The only possible influence the Minnesota DFL could have is to convince Sen. Dayton to vote against the nomination, which he may well anyways. This may well be going on behind the scenes. Sen. Coleman, a Pres. Bush yes-man, is beyond hope for a no vote.
