STORY EDITING BY THE MINNESOTA DFL

A few weeks ago, the media focused on the text of newspaper articles on Congressman Kennedy's U.S. Senate campaign website.
The Minnesota DFL, wanting to extend the life of this story, links to one of the stories under the headline "Mark Kennedy Misleading Minnesotans About His Record."
But the Minnesota DFL is guilty of the same charge.
Above are scans of a two-page article on the Nicollet County DFL opening a permanent office in downtown Mankato.
In the article, Richard Tostenson of the Nicollet County Republicans is highly critical of the Nicollet County DFL's decision to open a permanent office. Tostenson called it "a great waste of money."
But Tostenson's criticism has been removed from the story that appears on the DFL's website.
Click on the picture above to see DFL version of the story free of Tostenson's criticism.
The DFL does not link to the Mankato Free-Press' story, nor do they labled it as "excerpts".
In fact, the DFL removes the word "however" from the sentence after Tostenson's comments so they would not be reference in their edited story.
I call on the Minnesota DFL to post the correct version of the article as it appeared in the Mankato Free-Press.

NICE WORK!! Exactly what blogs are best used for!
I guess I'm confused.
I see edited versions of AP and Reuter's news stories all over the place.
Paragraphs are let out, or kept in, as space permits.
Bah.
