9-11 FIRE TRUCK USED AS CAMPAIGN PROP?

Source: Democratic Underground
This is a picture from the Labor Day picnic on Harriet Island. I originally thought it was a city of St. Paul Fire Department truck, but it is actually a fire truck from New York:
"Those attending the Labor Day picnic couldn't miss the signs for DFLer Chris Coleman, who is running for St. Paul mayor. The signs were attached to a fire truck that had been at the site of the World Trade Center in New York after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks." Source: Star Tribune, September 6, 2005
Classy move Chris.
Hat Tip to Swiftee and Shark.Bait for sending me information on this picture.

George Bush et.al. used the entirety of Sept. 11th as a campaign prop.
Whats the big whoop?
And I just wanted to say, that it's ironic that you don't allow anonymous comments. As you allow anonymous writing. Not to call you a coward or anything. Not to say that one of the biggest problems with the internet is the cloak of anonymity that hides a bunch of pea brains from any sort of culpability for whatever they say. But of course it's your right to hide behind a computer screen, if you want to be a coward.

It's not our fault that John Kerry and the DNC are weak on national security.
Umm, why did the GOP choose NYC for their 2004 convention? Because New York is a Republican stronghold? Or maybe the city was an inexpensive choice.
Oh, I forgot that the RNC owns both patriotism and the memory of the firefighters in NYC... I think your party should sue Coleman for ripping off your idea.

No...we don't own patriotism and the memory of firefighters...but I have not seen any RNC/GOP members burning the American Flag, throwing their medals on The White House lawn, protesting any wars, etc, etc, etc.
Yeah according to Rudy everyone burns flags...
And if you would look into the facts, here are the facts with respect to the RED fire truck (test from the St. Paul issues forum, where the usual suspects have been trying to make hay with this):
"Saint Paul Fire Fighters Local 21 has rented a retired 1975
Seagrave New York Fire Department ladder truck. This truck was dispatched to
ground zero immediately after the towers fell and stayed there for 42 days
thereafter during rescue and recovery efforts. This vehicle is owned by a
Maplewood fire fighter and he has all the necessary documentation to operate
the vehicle."
Of course, if MNDE really cared about St. Paul, he'd know that the green one in the other post is the wrong color.
