I hope it rains. A lot. I hope the Bring Them Home Now Tour sponsored by the Democratic National Committee gets absolutely zero media coverage. I'm kind of surprised they aren't coming to Uptown or Loring Park.
The Party Opposite, you do realize that there were a lot of people killed in Louisiana and Mississippi very recently because of a lot of rain. It seems to be in poor taste to wish that upon people with whom you disagree.
I hope it rains.
While I understand where you're coming from, I hope it doesn't.
First, I have a tee time. :)
Secondly, I want to see every elected DFL'er there right next to Cindy Sheehan or some of these other wackos. Every time they do that they put a nail in the coffin of what of their moderate small "d" democratic supporters.
No, Micah, I hadn't heard about that! Oh my god, I just checked the news for the first time this week! Of course I know what happend you idiot and of course you know I do not hope for the worst storm to ever hit Minnesota to hit Minnesota, or anywhere else for that matter.
But now that I think about it, I agree with John. I hope all the nutjobs are out there with the Bring the Troops Home Now Tour sponsored by Democrats for a Defeated America. And then I hope they mention that Guard soldiers in Iraq could be helping those at home. And then I hope that gets on television and everyone watching sees how ridiculously stupid and off-their-rocker this world is.
Keep it up, the left! Job security!
Oh yes people who want peace are definitely "nutjobs". Why don't you stop insulting people and enlist?
Oh yes people who want peace are definitely "nutjobs".
These people don't want "peace", they want surrender. These same people think the terrorists are well-meaning, good people at heart who are just misunderstood. If we'd only just sit down and have tea with them and listen to their concerns we could leave with a group hug and three chorus' of Kumbuyah (or however that some is spelled).
The problem is, they're wrong. And in the face of facts they continue to believe their misguided non-sense. Eventually that turns them into "nutjobs". When you travel the country preaching this crap, yeah, you're a nutjob.
Why don't you stop insulting people and enlist?
Because I have a tee time. Oh, sorry, different reason.
Why is it that liberals always say that? It's a stupid comment, of course. It's like saying "I know you are but what am I". I don't enlist because I'm too old. Nevertheless, I pay taxes and am an American citizen. And as long as our constitution isn't bastardized completely by liberals, that gives me the right to my opinion without having to enlist.

Umm... I'm a liberal and I don't believe we should surrender to the terrorists. I believe we should hunt down them down and take them out. Which is why I believe we should concentrate... on you know ... Osama Bin Laden (the guy that attacked us on 9/11). Saying that liberals want to surrender to terrorists is akin to saying evangelicals want to burn gays, it's true for about .0001% of them.
And I really think that calling people nutjobs (with the exception of Pat Robertson), is not a good thing to get in the habit of doing. It's just another one of those things that makes politics sink to the lowest common denominator.

Really all I'm asking you to do is back your rhetoric up with action. When I preach about conserving the environment I actually go out and pick up litter. If you're going to preach war why don't you enlist? And while you may be "to old" I know that most of the "College Republicans" I know would never consider enlisting. That just doesn't make sense to me. If you really believe in something you should act not just talk.
Trinhmaster,
Do you believe you personally should be working in Africa on their AIDS crisis? Do you believe you personally should be assisting in Darfur? Do you believe you personally ought to go right now down to New Orleans to help with the relief effort? Maybe the NOPD would let you pick up a shotgun and help them in their efforts to keep the rapists, murderers, and other thugs at bay so the aid workers can do their jobs.
Do you see where I'm going here?
The argument you're making is juvenile and droolingly asinine. We have a volunteer military that does not need to swell with the ranks of every supporter of the war effort.
There's no point in arguing with someone who thinks that I have to be willing to personally pay the greatest possible cost of a policy decision before I have the right to advocate it. Your belief in this criteria has nothing to do with reason; it's just one of the articles of leftwing faith.
Ok, here's the deal, you guys don't have to enlist, if you can find the $9 billion dollars that just happened to get misplaced over there.
Do you believe you personally should be working in Africa on their AIDS crisis?
When I say we should do something about the AIDS crisis in Africa, I'm not asking other people to put their lives at risk and get shot at. When you ask our soldiers to go into battle, you're asking them to lay their lives on the line. If you're not willing to do the same you can't possibly argue that this war is justified. Since you obviously don't believe the cause is important enough to get yourself killed over.
The argument you're making is juvenile and droolingly asinine
There's that name calling that seeks to lower politics to the lowest denominator. I'd snipe back... but you know I'm only fifteen, I'm not mature enough yet to insult people;)
Trinhmaster,
Look no further than your own left for examples of name calling and dragging politics to the lowest level. Won't be long until we have Howard Dean traveling the country telling black people that Republicans and George Bush abandoned them in New Orleans while they let all the rich white people leave. Mark my words, it will happen.
Second, I love liberals. 40 years ago, you guys couldn't stand forced military service. Today, it seems that you want forced service for everyone who supports the war in Iraq.
It is the ultimate in cowardly positions. It is as if you say "Everyone should be forced to fight in the military, unless you don't believe in war, then it is okay to not. Of course, I don't believe in any war for any reason so I really have just invented a way to save my own ass at the expense of everyone else."
I'm 24, able-bodied and I support the war. Why don't I enlist? Because this is America and I don't have to. We have voluntary military service. I've got a career I've worked on for many years and I'm free to pursue it AND support this war and any other. I suspect what really bothers the folks on the left who bash "chickenhawks" is that they have the choice.
To end, I'm conflicted. On the one hand, lliberals make me want to puke. On the other hand, I'm glad they are as wacked out as they are - it's job security for me!
Protest warrior should be organizing a group to attend this.
See some of their previous work.

Very effective.
Try "Protest Weenies", if they think war solves everything (advertised by their signs) they should sign up.
Trinhmaster,
ReaganBlows does a wonderful of proving TPO's note about looking to the left for the name-calling. Not only does he insult a former president by his screen name, but then he also calls those at protest warrior weenies.
ReganBlows, thank you very much for proving our point! We appreciate it!
I think we conservatives sometimes forget that if we just sit back and let liberals talk, they will expose their lunacy all by themselves.
It's like taking candy from a baby.
Reganblows does not speak for me. What I think is that you folks on the right need to be a little more civil. I have not insulted any of you, but I guess it was unrealistic to expect the same from you.
