Bush's Failure Of Leadership Costs Hurricane Victims

It took George Bush two whole days to come back from vacation to deal with Hurricane Katrina and it's aftermath.

• FEMA has thus far been AWOL.
• There is widespread looting and lawlessness in New Orleans.
• A massive public health threat looms.
• The death toll may reach the thousands.
• The scope of human suffering and tragedy is staggering.

And what does Bush do? Calls a press conference, two days too late. These are Americans suffering, Mr. President. Get to goddamn work!
