ONCE A CHEATER, ALWAYS A CHEATER
Coleen Rowley has some nerve to preach about the pressure of students to cheat after she allowed a school to pay some of the costs for her campaign fundraiser.
"'And in less than good news for the future, a recent poll revealed that 70 percent of high school students admit having cheated on tests or papers. Worse, a majority of those didn't see anything wrong with it. An even scarier statistic shows more than 80 percent of those on the 'Who's Who Among American Students' list cheated to get there.'
According to [Coleen] Rowley, if the pressure to cheat among students is so intense, she said imagine how it must be with business or government officials or with professional sports figures." Source: Brooklyn Park Sun, September 30, 2005

Rowley shouldn't have any trouble imagining about the pressure for a goverment official to cheat.
UPDATE: A dedicated reader with a good eye noticed the event Rowley was speaking at was not in the 2nd Congressional District, but in the 3rd Congressional District.

Perhaps a school or anyone could raise some money for her to go on ABC's Extreme Makeover. She could use it.
Hey now, we don't knock Mark Kennedy for looking like Screech from Saved by the Bell, do we?
Actually, the first time I met Mark Kennedy back in 2000 I though Oh my! Could this guy be any more of a nerd? Let's face it, Tim Pawlenty aside, Minnesota does not exactly put forth the most attractive politicians.
If they get the job done, then looks be damned. :)
Have you seen a Minnesota politician get the job done lately? I haven't, unless you count Dean Johnson trying for force gridlock.
