THANK YOU FOR DONATING AND SHAME ON YOU FOR POINTING FINGERS
I would like to thank people who donated money to the Hurricane Katrina relief effort. I will be adding links to Minnesota Democrats Exposed later tonight so people can continue donate.
I have never been more disappointed with certain Democrats and Liberal bloggers. Rather than focusing their efforts on providing information on how to help with the relief, they decided to point fingers and blame President Bush for this tragic disaster.
Shame on you.

I would like to hope that regardless of who's sitting in the Oval Office, both sides of the blogosphere could agree on a few things. Opponents will always ask "Why aren't you doing more? Shame on you!" and supporters will reply "The President is doing the best he can."
But the fact remains that money that was specifically intended for New Orleans to improve its levee system to defend against exactly this type of storm was specifically diverted by the Bush administration to the war in Iraq. It's obviously a moot point right now; obviously the most important thing is to send as much aid as possible to the organizations on the ground. But the story has to be told so this disaster isn't repeated.
Screw you, MDE.
I am sickened by the INEXCUSABLE response to this disaster.
That includes the city for a PATHETIC evacuation plan. The governors for being absolutely ineffective. Congress for not acting immediately to rush aid to New Orleans. And it goes all the way up to President Bush.
Today, he's finally, finally, finally! in the area.
I don't want to score points on the President. I want him to LEAD. The rescue effort has been a disaster. FIX IT.
Liberals aren't the only ones saying this.
Screw you, MDE.
Just can't handle the fact that he has the moral fornitude to do what is right, which is worry about helping the people affected while you go on using this as a sorry excuse to attack and name call.
Trinhmaster,
Luke's blog is another wonderful example of the name calling!that you need to take note of.
FEMA is run by an incompetent political hack
Can't we hold off on this name calling until a little more help is given and order is restored?
Screw you, MDE.
That's mature.

I'm sickened by the politicizing being done by democrats on this.
I'm sickened by the Mayor of New Orleans who's nothing but an uneducated guy who got elected because he could out-corrupt the next guy.
I'm sickened by the Governor of Louisiana who didn't call out her own National Guard or declare their version of marshall law to control their people.
I'm sickened by the people who said "we can ride it out" and refused to leave, and now sit out there chanting "help us now".
I'm GLAD the President waited this long to show up. All we needed was an "Escape from New York" scenerio (although liberals would have found reasons to explain it away and probably applaud it). With criminal gangs running the place down there, there's no way I want my President walking those streets. I don't want him now, for that matter.
What really sickens me is the fact that so many people depended on the government to protect them from something they can't possibly protect them from. Natural disasters are just that, unpredictable natural disasters. We can take precautions, we can try to prepare, but it's not possible to ever really be prepared for such an event. All we can do is react the best we can.
For that, democrats whine and blame instead of trying to help. And that, my friends, sickens me the most.
But the story has to be told so this disaster isn't repeated.
Yeah, if only government spent more money, it would prevent natural disasters!
LOL, like I said elsewhere on this blog...just let the left speak, they do our work for us.
Much like the media's non-coverage of the war in Iraq, the media is only covering a small fraction of this story. While focusing on what government is or is not doing they are completely ignoring what PEOPLE are doing for each other. Of course, we'll never hear these stories because they don't fit the agenda.
And it is only a matter of time before Howard Dean and the DNC pop off about this being a racial issue.

I'ts getting pretty close!!!
Black lawmakers angry about federal response to disaster
Yes, if government doesn't do everything for us, we must whine and point fingers. How about some personal responsibility here?
The liberals complain Bush finally showed up on the scene, but if he would have been there earlier, you can bet they would have screamed he was politicizing a tragedy. How about developing an effective, thoughtful strategy before jumping in front of the cameras?
The fact of the matter is, a disaster occurred that was out of anyone's control, and our energy should be directed toward helping those in need.
I just read this from Associated Press...
"Hell no, I'm not glad to see them. They should have been here days ago. I ain't glad to see 'em. I'll be glad when 100 buses show up," said 46-year-old Michael Levy, whose words were echoed by those around him yelling, "Hell, yeah! Hell yeah!"
"We've been sleeping on the ... ground like rats," Levy said. "I say burn this whole ... city down."
It's people like this that are going to cause the rest of the nation to withhold contributions to help his sorry back end.
To me, that's the same as yelling fire in a movie theater. He should be arrested and sent to a cell with real rats. Let him learn a lesson.
What is disgusting about this is that he learned this attitude from those who taught him to depend on the government instead of personal responsibility. It's a cultural thing for people like this.

A disaster of this magnitude cannot be expected to be handled by the city or the state that has just been devastated. Clearly the responsibility must be coordinated at the federal level, until today it is pretty clear the feds have dropped the ball big time.
