TINKLENBERG vs. MORTENSEN
This is the first installment of my "insider" information posts with material provided by a DFL source in the 6th Congressional District.

1. Like Coleen Rowley in the 2nd Congressional District, Scott Mortensen is proud to be the anti-war/peace-at-all-cost candidate in the 6th Congressional District. According to my DFL source, most DFLers in the 2nd and the 6th believe a Bobby Kennedy '68-type congressional candidate simply can't win.
2. Mortensen was born and raised in Southern Minnesota and has lived in the Twin Cities for about 20 years. There is a growing interest in his voting record and how often he has exercised his right to vote.
3. Mortensen's campaign has claimed "we do not have Washington consultants telling us how to run our campaign", yet they are trying to hire Ken Christensen, a fundraising/political consultant. Christensen's win-loss record is being reviewed and more information will follow IF Mortensen's campaign actually scrapes together the money to hire Christensen.

Was this from the Tinklenberg campaign? Janet Robert? Was your original 2nd district source Bill Luther?
It shows the Tinklenberg campaign is getting worried by Mortensen. Perhaps this is the reason:

One possibility: Luther = CD 2 stuff/ Robert CD 6 stuff.
Tinklenberg has been overheard heard telling people that Scott Mortensen hasn't been voting much.
Eva, I think you've spent too much time in those DB meetups. The paranoia is getting to you.
Can your "insider" tell us when both of these guys are going to figure out they don't have a chance at winning and to get Wetterling back in the race?

I see you did a ton of research to find out #3 above. Did you go to his website and find out that for yourself? Is your 'inside' source Google?
I didn't do the research. The information was sent to me in an emai.
