UPDATE: ST. PAUL FIRE TRUCK USED AS CAMPAIGN PROP?

I sent an email to the IAFF Local 21 and asked them about the fire truck pictured on Chris Coleman's website.

I received the following response:

Hello,

Thank you for you questions, I will answer them individually.

Question #1. Is this a St. Paul Fire Truck?

Question #1 Answer: No, this is not an Official City of St. Paul Fire Department fire truck. The yellow fire truck you have linked was leased from a fire buff that is a friend of St. Paul Fire fighters.

Question #2. How does one rent a fire truck?

Question #2 Answer: Rental or lease of fire trucks can be done thru numerous sources. Often private parties(fire buffs) or organizations like the Minneapolis Firefighters Museum http://www.firehallmuseum.org/ have halls and or fire trucks that can be leased or rented.

Starting on September 10th, St. Paul Firefighters Local 21 will be leasing a 1975 Seagrave ladder truck from a private party that we will be using thru the election. We will be traveling thru St. Paul neighborhoods talking with the public about why we support Chris Coleman.
