DOES HATCH'S ENDORSEMENT LIST HAVE ONE NAME TOO MANY?
According to Mike S., Hatch's endorsement list may have one name too many.

Who is Wendy Anderson?
Wendall Anderson - former MN Governor.
Wendell Anderson was the Governor when Minnesota was the beacon of the nation in schools, jobs and crime-free clean cities. It was featured on the cover of TIME magazine with the caption "The Good Life".
In his second term, Watergate had just happened and the House was left with about 15 republicans total(67 today), and they were in the minority in the Senate too. The DFL also won four of the five constitutional offices. Times were good. We had two DFL senators in Washington and one in the White House (Mondale).
Then one day Hubert Humphrey died. Wendy, full of hubris, made a decision on that day to step down from being governor, the Lt Governor would be sworn in of course as Governor. Now with the death of a US Senator, there is no special election, so the Governor appoints a Senator. To whom do you think this appointment went? Yep Wendy.
People of Minnesota rightly called bullshit and the DFL paid dearly. That year brought us Rudy Boshwitz and Steve Sviggum and almost every leadership post the DFL held. The only bright light was the Speaker Sabo won a seat to Congress.

I had never heard Wendy used as his nickname. It seems a bit odd that Hatch did not use his full name.
Chubb Foundation is the actual name of a foundation which provides education grants.
Since I don't know who you are it was not in reference to you physical characteristics.

While Lourey may have received a lot of Range support 4 years ago, she won't this time. Since she isn't in, I am 99% sure that Doran, yes, Doran, will get the Range support, I think he may already have it. Including a possible range legislator from the Range (Either Janezich or Rukavina, my bets on JJ)
I wrote elsewhere that its been confirmed that Jerry Janezich wa asked and is considering it.
Not a bad choice since Jerry was the DFL endorsed candidate for US Senate in 2000. He also represented part of the Range in the Senate, House and County Commission for the previous 20 years.
