IS MIKE HATCH'S OFFICIAL OFFICE A FRONT FOR HIS CAMPAIGN #2
Republican Minnesota was quick to point out that Mike Hatch's spokeswoman commented on the Republican Party of Minnesota's new anti-Hatch website.
Another clear example of Hatch's official office being used for political campaigns.

I think her job as press secretary allows her to respond to criticisms of her boss.
Back off, this is stupid.
I think her job as press secretary allows her to respond to criticisms of her boss.
Clearly she could have said "I'm sorry, that's more of a campaign issue and you'll have to refer that question to them. Next question."
So then every oneas to quit.
What does that mean?
Sorry, I tried to type that with one hand while eating with the other and messed up.
My point was supposed to be that every spokesperson for every elected official makes political statements. It's their job. As someone who was once in state government, I would think you know that there is no such thing as a separation between policy and politics.
I can appreciate your comment.
You are correct, sometimes the line is blurred. But given the position of Attorney General, and known to be a future candidate for Governor, they need to take special care to separate the AG from the Candidate.
I'm not ready to file charges or toss the spokesperson out of office for something like this. I just think they need to make sure they're not riding the gray line and are doing all they can to avoid any appearance of impropriety. It's all I ask for.
If she had done what I suggested above this wouldn't be an issue (not that it's a major one now).
