You're right, Klobuchar should just throw in the towel, she lost the pissing contest, and with only a little more than a year left before the election, there's no possible way she'll come back.
Hate to break it to you, but it isn't all about the Cash on Hand or fundraising each quarter, it's also about getting at least one more vote than everyone else. Mark Kennedy has, at least in the past, closely aligned himself with a president, who, on a good day has numbers above 45%. He's taken $30k from the indicted Tom DeLay, voted for a war that is becoming more and more unpopular and has a strange obsession with meth. I personally think the GOP has become far too content with how things look on paper to realize that it might just be an uphill battle for their golden boy.
Just something to think about.
The point is, Klobuchar is barely behind Kennedy in cash on hand, and she didn't have the Senate Majority Leader, the Speaker of the House, the White House Cheif of Staff and the Vice President to help her fundraise. PLUS, Klobuchar had 3 opponents during the 3rd quarter to fight with for money, Kennedy had none. PLUS, Kennedy is in the big money party...you guys ALWAYS outraise Dems. Now Klobuchar is ahead in the polls, equal in the money race, down one opponent, and the cavalry (EMILY's List) is on the way.
Prediction: Klobuchar will beat the snot out of Kennedy in the 4th Q money race.
C'mon MDE, admit it, even you are a little disapointed. :)
