It's clear why Klobuchar needed the endorsement of the extremely-Liberal Emily's List: Her fundraising has stalled.

Klobuchar's campaign has seen a dramitic drop in their fundraising numbers from the previous quarters. Mark Kennedy's campaign raised more money this quarter than Klobuchar and his campaign may have more cash-on-hand.
Klobuchar and her supporters cannot claim any momentum building towards Klobuchar's campaign, but they can admit the campaign has stalled.
