Yes, yes, but he also ran a campaign based on sleaze and mud. And he lost. This election was a vindication of positive politics over the politics of filth. This election is a sign that Dems won't respond to terror campaigning.
Just because Republicans run on crap like that doesn't mean that Democrats should, and this reaffirmed that.
