Have you heard the commercials by the Minneapolis Police Federation?
This happens all the time.
Randy kelly looked like he was going to lose the endorsement, until he proposed to raise taxes (first time in 12 years) for more cops- he gets there endorsment. Peter McLaughlin promised 75 more cops and he earns their endorsment.
So Gilbert says that he won't fight so hard for them anymore. Where's the problem.
These unions are all the same. Is that not what we hear from the GOP constantly. Suddenly because its cops instead of teachers they are concerned.
Maybe he should have pledged to a special interest group that he won't raise taxes no matter what?
