PENNY'S COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR HIRED AT DFL PARTY
This is from Checks and Balances
David Ruth, former Communications aide for Governor Jesse Ventura (I), will be joining the DFL as Commincations Director in December. He will be leaving his post as a Public Relations Representative with the University of Minnesota.
Ruth is quick to point out his Democratic credentials calling attention to the leave of absense he took in 2000 to assist with the Gore/Lieberman effort in 2000. When we spoke with Ruth about the new position he said, "It is a great time for Democrats. They have a interesting story to tell and I am excited to tell it."
##
David Ruth also worked for Tim Penny's campaign for governor. Tim Penny ran against the DFL endorsed candidate for governor Roger Moe in 2002.
Ruth is a hot-head and he will be an easy target for Republicans.
Good luck David, you will need it!

I guess the old saying, "if you can't beat them, hire 'em" is at play.
I think I am missing something here. A former Independent goes to work for the DFL, and this is somehow news? What am I missing? Is this the same type of news as the liberal Luskin working for Rove? It just isn't news... MDE, come on, you can do better.
