He's just concerned about taking politics out of campaigns. If it takes a child molester to do that, then I guess it takes a child molester.
The question is, will the Republicans denounce all of the sexual predators currently holding office in their party? From Spokane to New York.
I'm sure if you ask Mark Ritchie, he'll say no. If this is such a story, why isn't anyone carrying it?
Because a 35 year old charge is still a 35 year old charge. What of the dozens happening right now.
The GOP had a chance to run someone against Dick Borrell, a sex predator who actually became a GOP state representative in 2002, but the party choose to let him carry the mantle or them. When DFLers objected to him being in the House, the Republicans still gave him a seat and never did censure him. For two years, he was voting member of the Republican caucus.
So, are the Republicans OK with sexual predators as long as they can get an extra vote out of them?

In 2002, the Republicans endorsed and elected Dick Borrell to the MN House of Representatives. It was later discovered that this Republican had sexually assaulted his nephew’s girlfriend after taking them home after a night of drinking.
How about the Fmr Republican Party state Chair and Christian Coalition head stepping down from political life because 3 female relatives brought charges of molestation to him?

Check this one out. Republican mayor paid a woman $250 in an attempt to have sex with two 15-year-olds, according to an FBI affidavit. It wasn’t his first time. A year ago, he used taxpayers cell phone to solicit sex from a 14 year old.

Borrell held his seat, but received no support from anyone in the entire Legislature. If his own constituents wanted him out, they would have gotten him out.
He was also one of the nicest men around, which makes me pause a little bit before totally condeming this Ritchie or whoever.

MDE's spin is working on you. Ritchie is not the one who did anything, its the singer Peter Yarrow of Peter, Paul and Mary. It happened 35 years ago.
Today he and Ritchie and about 40 other people sit on a volunteer advisory committee. So, MDE is tying him in with a child molester.
