Here is the first media story on legislative housing reimbursement. I reported earlier this week that two media outlets are working on stories.

This must be the Republican and Democrats Exposed story.
Rep. Mark Olson, R-Big Lake, was paid $1,172.96 in housing allowance in April.
MapQuest, an online mapping service, calculates one route from his home to the Capitol at about 54 miles.
Olson said he rented a furnished one-bedroom apartment in Minneapolis where family members could stay when they visited him during the session.
Olson said a round trip between his home in Big Lake and the Capitol would take a minimum of two hours a day.
StPaul.....you are amazing....you hammer MDE when he blasts only Dems and then when he DOES highlight a story that blasts both sides, you still hammer him on it.....
This is just another wonderful example of why we need to get back to the government that the founders envisioned…a government OF the people FOR the people. No more of the career politician cr@p. Every time I see “Politician” listed as a career on the legislature’s website, I just want to PUKE!
The truth is, and this goes for the left AND the right, is that the longer that they are in session, the more money they can reach into your pocket for.
Tom Emmer made Shark.bait's exact point during the last session and absolutely infuriated career legislators and "community organizers." It just proved how these people totally cannot handle being called on it.
