DFL ATTACK ON KENNEDY FALLS SHORT
Republican Party of Minnesota Chairman Ron Carey issued the following statement tonight in response to the DFL attack on Mark Kennedy's vote for the passage of a vital defense bill.
"The DFL attack machine was in such a hurry to denounce Mark Kennedy today that they now have egg on their face.
"This bi-partisan bill provides crucial funding for our troops, the innocent victims of Hurricane Katrina, and provides critical investments to prepare against a potential outbreak of the avian flu epidemic. For these reasons, a majority of House Democrats, including Nancy Pelosi and Collin Peterson, voted for this bill which passed the House by a resounding margin of 308 -106.
"It's clear the DFL will stop at nothing to distort Mark Kennedy's record and mislead Minnesotans."

Guess who we learned that tactic?
Hint: Mark Kennedy voted against it, before he voted for it. Flip flop.
Hopefully the senate will strip the ANWR language, again.

Just to counter-balance....
Hopefully the Senate will keep the ANWR language in and let the drilling begin!!!

How would that make you feel better? Drilling in Alaska is the laziest and possibly the worst thing to do with regards to our dependancy on oil. If we really want to reduce our dependancy on foreign oil, we would be better off raising the fuel efficiancy standards by a mere 3 miles per gallon.

First of all, it ticks off every treehugger who reads it. :)

Read the George Will column from last week.
You know John, sometimes I think you say things just to get a rise out of people, not because you are reallyy stupid and bankrupt on real ideas and solutions.
And you wonder why the people didn't trust you to represent them anymore?
