MDE EXCLUSIVE: KELLY DORAN'S VOTING HISTORY CHALLENGES CLAIM OF "LIFELONG DEMOCRAT"
Click on the picture to view Kelly Doran's voting history since 1994
DFL candidate for governor Kelly Doran, who claims he is a "lifelong Democrat", has not shown support for his party's candidates by voting in contested primary elections.
Based on public data available throught the Secretary of State's office, Kelly Doran has not voted in a primary election since 1994.
In 1994, then Governor Arne Carlson defeated Allen Quist in the Republican primary election and Senator John Marty defeated Mike Hatch and Tony Bouza in the DFL primary election.
Doran did not vote in the last two competive DFL primaries - in 1998, where every DFL endorsed candidate for statewide office lost and in 2000 when numerous DFL candidates were vying for the U.S. Senate.
I am sure DFL delegates would like to know in which primary election Doran voted in 1994. Did he support a sitting Republican governor or did he maybe support one of his current DFL challengers?
Stay tuned to Minnesota Democrats Exposed for more information on "lifelong Democrat" Kelly Doran.

Am I right to assume that the Y or N in Contested DFL Primary represents whether or not there WAS a contested primary, and the two red Ys represent contested primaries in which Doran appears not to have voted?
Also, I haven't really looked that closely, but how can one go about getting that information from the SoS's website if it's publicly available? Again, merely curious.
Don't you think you are blowing this out of proportion. There are millions of people who call themselves "lifelong Democrats" who have NEVER voted in a democratic primary. This is the US, one of the most apathetic countries in the world. Remeber?
All of this "news" about Doran's contributions and voting record proves one thing to me: He is right, he is more like anyone else then any of the other candidates. Most people don't vote in primaries and most people have given money to both parties at some time. Not to mention, I find it interesting this is all coming up know, maybe he is right...the other candidates are scared of him. If one can count on anything, its the fact that Doran's name has been in the news more then any other candidate recently.
Man things have to messed up in the GOP headquarters if the right-wing noise machine hasn't already rumbled to life for Ek getting kicked off the ballot?
Or the fact that the judge basically called her a liar, or a moron? Come on guys this is the best you can do? Put John Jordan back up, even he was a step up over this!
Yo, you guys stop playing 'Gotcha!' politics and we'll stop. But you've got to stop first.
