WEBSITE PURCHASED BY DEMOCRAT, NOT REPUBLICAN AS MN PUBLIUS REPORTED
Click on the picture to see that a DFL delegate purchased www.brianleclair.com
Tim Ward's name is listed in the 2004 DFL Convention directory
I have blocked the other names from the page
As you can see from the pictures above, www.brianleclair.com was purchsed by a DFL delegate, not a Republican activist as MN Publius reported.Without any proof that a Republican registered www.brianleclair.com, the kids at MN Publius decided to publish this lie.
Apparently, their adolescent zest to attack Republicans will not be limited to factual information.
Unless I am presented with evidence to the contrary, I believe MN Publius had to know that Tim Ward was a DFL delegate and not a Republican.
A simple newspaper search would have found Tim Ward quoted in an article from the Star Tribune last year about his involvement in the DFL.
"'We're throwing away our future in so many ways,' [Tim] Ward said, ticking off his beefs with Republican leadership: a runaway federal deficit, the war in Iraq, the underfunding of education.
'We built this state's economy on great education, and now we're tearing it down,' he [Tim Ward] lamented. Delegate [Tim] Ward stood alongside alternate Ryan Ward - his 17-year-old son. Getting involved in DFL politics has been a family affair for them, they said, and a positive experience. 'We're meeting a lot of new people like us,' Ward said." Source: Star Tribune, May 24, 2004
If a partisan Republican can find out Tim Ward is a DFL delegate, why can't MN Publius?
I am not attacking Tim Ward for registering www.brianleclair.com. In the past, I purchased the domain names of DFL candidates and forwarded them to Minnesota Democrats Exposed.
But if I had the chance to do it over, I would not have purchased the domains. I also wrote that my decision to voluntarily relinquish ownership of the domains should not be misunderstood as a repudiation of this tactic.
I wil let other bloggers debate the decision by a DFL delegate to purchase the domain name of a Republican state senator.
But I will criticize MN Publius for falsely claiming a Republican purchased www.brianleclair.com, when in fact it was purchased by a DFL delegate.

MN Publius needs to resign. He's the Jayson Blair of Minnesota bloggers.
