BLACKSHAW PICKED LOUREY?
Come on. Now I'm no super genius (or our I), but I don't believe for a second that John Blackshaw had numerous offers from gubernatorial campaigns yet he decided to choose Becky Lourey.

Lourey campaign adds Dickinson, Blackshaw
A Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party maverick and a rising star in Minnesota's Green Party have joined state Sen. Becky Lourey's campaign for governor.
John Blackshaw, a political veteran who managed Paul Wellstone's successful U.S. Senate campaign in 1990, will serve as Lourey's communications director, said Lourey, DFL-Kerrick.
Also signing on to Lourey's gubernatorial campaign is Elizabeth Dickinson as field director and political director Eric Mitchell.
Dickinson most recently ran for St. Paul mayor but dropped out after the September 2004 primary in which she received only 20 percent of the vote. Dickinson is also expected to serve in a high-level campaign job.
Blackshaw most recently managed Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak's re-election campaign last fall.
Blackshaw's services were sought by several other DFL candidates running for governor, Lourey said.
"I'm just thrilled that he picked me," Lourey said of Blackshaw.
Dickinson is "incredibly bright and talented," Lourey said.
The two have been unofficially working on the campaign for several weeks, said campaign manager Joe Barisonzi.
The two reflect of the kinds of coalitions Lourey was working to build across the state "and across the political map as well," Barisonzi said.
Barisonzi helped Rybak win his first election.
"This is a very strong team -- an all-star team of progressive people," Rybak said of the trio.
A Democrat, Rybak said he hasn't decided which DFL-hopeful he'll back in the 2006 governor's race.
"But the key, I believe, to elections these days is to be authentic and not cautious," Rybak said.
Lourey's selection of her campaign staff was an example of both those qualities, Rybak said.
Four other DFLers are seeking to be the party's candidate to challenge Republican Gov. Tim Pawlenty in 2006, including: Sen. Steve Kelley, DFL-Hopkins; state Attorney General Mike Hatch; Minneapolis-based developer Kelly Doran; and artist Ole Saviour. Source: Duluth News-Tribune, January 3, 2006

Even Ron Carey has said Becky is an honest person. I'll take her word over your conjecture.
