MDE FROM THE ARCHIVES: DFL BLAMES VOLUNTEER FOR DISTRIBUTING BUMPER STICKERS COMPARING PRESIDENT BUSH TO HITLER
Unfortunatley, Coleen Rowley's campaign posting a picture of Representative John Kline in a Nazi-era military uniform is not the first time DFLers have been caught comparing Republicans to Nazis.

Minn. GOP tells Dem to pull Hitler sticker
Democrats in Minnesota need to cease their distribution of a bumper sticker comparing the president to Adolf Hitler, state GOP leaders said Wednesday.
"John Kerry's Democrat Party sunk to a new low when it made the decision to actively distribute a bumper sticker from its St. Paul (Minn.) headquarters stating "Bush/Cheney -- Most hated world leaders since Hitler," state GOP Chairman Ron Eibensteiner said. "There is no place in Minnesota politics for the kind of hate-filled trash.
"According to published reports, Minnesota Democrat-Farm Labor Chairman Mike Erlandson claimed the party did not distribute the stickers and blamed a volunteer for putting them on a party literature display.
Ex-U.S. Sen. Rudy Boschwitz, R-Minn., himself a survivor of the Nazi death camps, called the bumper stickers a "grotesque insult."
"To invoke the name of one of the great monsters of the twentieth century, Adolf Hitler, for base political gain is a grotesque insult to the memory of the millions of Jews and other innocents who died at his terrible hand," Boschwitz said. Source: United Press International, September 8, 2004

It's nothing new and it will never stop. The "they're Nazis" line is one of the left's favorite tactics. Too bad that the most exposure to the real horrors of the Nazis most of these people have had is watching a TV character yell "NO SOUP FOR YOU!"
Question and or correction to the original 2004 UPI story: Boschwitz went through quite an ordeal as a child traveling from country to country for 2 1/2 years seeking refuge from Nazi Germany, but I can't find it anywhere online stating that he is "a survivor of the Nazi death camps". Is there another source for this fact?
From what I read his father saw what would happen under a Hitler regime and left the country in 1933 soon after the Nazis took power.
