DEMOCRATS SHOULD RETHINK ATTACKS ON PAWLENTY'S IMMIGRATION INITIATIVES
Governor Pawlenty's approval rating among minorities is very high. The Democrats should rethink their attacks on Pawlenty's immigration proposals, like accusing him of being racist.

Unlike the Governor I don't think Democrats ask their pollster what to do on every policy issue.
The question that's missing is, "Would you vote for Tim Pawlenty in November" and "Are you willing to support a DFL over Tim Pawlenty in November".
Those question will gage exactly what this is about. Doing an OK job is only acceptable in lower level government jobs. For those of us that actually write surveys and polls, this one is like swiss cheese with the holes that are exposed. Hey MDE, post a more detailed cross tabulature of the poll.

Thanks for the great laugh. It's been a stressful day and that brought out a good chuckle.
(Do you live under the same sky color as Becky Lourey?)
This poll does _not_ prove that Pawlenty's rating among minorities is high at all. Minorities were 5% of 600 adults surveyed (30 people: 18 Black, 12 Hispanics ), so the sample sizes are ridiculously small to make any statistically significant findings about the subgroups of this sample. The margain of error for the subgroup numbers in this survey are close to 25% making any conclusions meaningless.

That would be a different sky than yours John Jordan?
One where you stick to your convictions AND win your elections(You were a party mouthpeice that couldn't win your own election). She beat an 18 year incumbent for her house seat and a 26 year incumbent(the Polka King) for her Senate seat. A liberal woman in rural Minnesota.
I don't know if you run a business but she does have a Tech business created up North that employs 70 people and provides excellent health care. She also pays higher than a living wage at the facility with a built in childcare center (led by education professionals, not just babysitters). Here's the shocker for you glum GOPers, it turns a healthy profit. Lourey has taken her profits and invested in the community by buying an old abandoned school and converting it into an energy co-op, plus three other community cooperatives.
Instead of the just talking about every baby is important and family values. She went out and adopted 8 kids who were diagnosed with several physical, emotional and mental problems. Along with her four children she gave birth to, they grew up to be contributing members in society.
Voted against conceal and carry, until the Sheriffs got the provisions they wanted, then supported it.
So, she just doesn't talk it, she walks it and proves that it can be done. Jacks like you can't comprehend that you can raise a decent family, dream big, create prosperity and still reach a self worth of a few million(the latter which is most important to you I'm sure).
I'd say the sky in Becky Lourey's world is pretty blue. What color is the sky in your world?

Yeah right. 30 minorities in a state of about 511,000 http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/states/27000.html
I beleive it was the proposal that was thought to be insensitive to race- therefore racist.
The policy put forth was racist. Now if that's necessary to meet the end goal, then say so.
No one thinks Pawlenty is racist. Like Republicans across the country, he is not above tapping into racists and racist thought for votes.
