Or are they just another member of the mainstream media who's all anti-Bush and all?
So, let me get this straight...
Howard Dean can trot around the country saying that the "idea that we're going to win the war in Iraq is an idea which is just plain wrong." And that's okay and he gets tons of press for it and people smile and say, oh, that's just Howard Dean being Howard Dean.
But when a servicemember -- someone, who I might add, has volunteered to protect Howard Dean's right to say whatever he wants -- who has been on the frontlines appears in an ad linking the foreign fighters who have enetered Iraq and are attacking coalition forces as the same folks involved with planning and executing 9/11 it's not okay?
I don't get it...
I don't think KSTP has a leg to stand on. Not when the vast majority of people coming back from Iraq say things completely different than the media-created impression.
No! Pat Kessler's report isn't enough. Not even close. Kessler fails to compute cable news into his statistics, for one thing. For another, even counting all of the stories fails to account for the thousands of stories that haven't been told at all.
Finally, noting that more conservatives have been on the news is a non-statistic. They have control over both houses. Of course they are going to be more visible. There are more of them.
The ads are the opinions of soldiers who have been there. Who is Pat Kessler to tell them they aren't being honest?

Actually no it is not....Kessler blatently disregards the fact that we are fighting a group that is called AL QAEDA in Iraq.....He also disregards the Saddam Tapes that ABC news previewed the other night. They "cherry picked" data in the same way that they accused Progress for America of cherry picking data.
I have no problem with either side cherry picking, but they should not slam the other side for cherry picking and then go to "prove it" by cherry picking themselves. I diminishes their credibility.....
MDE,
Are you silencing those who are not only critical but seem to be accurate? Two posts in the last couple of days have just disappeared.
I thought we were friends?
