MDE EXCLUSIVE: WILL HATCH HIRE NOTORIOUS AD MAN AGAIN
I heard through the rumor mill that Mike Hatch retained Saul Shorr again. Shorr's done work on Hatch campaigns for years, most recently he was paid $10,000 for consulting in 2003. He also paid Shorr over $300,000 for work on the 2002 campaign.
Shorr is well known as a mud-slinging "hatch"et-man:
"An advoccacy ad attacking presidential candidate Howard Dean, running in New Hampshire and Iowa, is the product of political consultant Saul Shorr, Philadelphia's own. The ad shows the face of Osama bin Laden while the voiceover hits Dean for having no military or foreign policy experience. The Osama-Dean bit so angered Democrats that Dick Gephardt, whose supporters are almost certainly responsible, had to disassociate himself from the ad." Source: Philadelphia Daily News, December 29, 2003
The question is how much Shorr will focus on the other Democrats running against Hatch.

Gee, a Democrat equivalent to that hired gun who tried to smear Chris Coleman and put up a short-lived blog called "Campaign for St Paul's Future"
Let's see, what was his name?
Of course that blog wasn't too successful ... only lasted a few days after it was repudiated by its unwitting financier and it kind of slithered away down 35-E to Eagan.
