CD 5: COMMENT SENT TO MDE
Someone attempted to post a comment on my blog yesterday about a candidate for Sabo's seat. The comment was filled with strong allegations of sexual impropriety.
I never considered posting the comment on Minnesota Democrats Exposed.
It appears that Polinaut, minvolved, and the capitol press corps received the same information in email or fax transmission.
Since Sabo announced his retirement, I have received numerous tips from Democrats who are supporting one of the numerous candidates trying to replace Sabo.
While I love the attention and DFL infighting, I will not allow my blog to be a format for irresponsible and unsubstantiated mudslinging.

I am glad to see that all three of you choose not to post the slander. It certainly appears that someone is trying to play "gotcha" - with a candidate and with the blogs. If a blogger had run with this, it would have given credence to the press claim that we simply post unsubstantiated claims, rumors and innuendo. All 3 of you are to be commended for your restraint!
