DFL BLAMES "WORST OF WINTER" FOR LOW CAUCUS TURNOUT

General worst of winter? The high was 42 degrees on Tuesday evening in the Twin Cities and most of Minnesota experienced above average temperatures.
It did rain on Tuesday, but according to the National Weather Service, no measurable amount of snow fell was recorded in Minnesota expect for 1/10th of an inch at the St. Cloud Airport.

“The projected turnout was the highest in a non-presidential year for almost a quarter century,” said Minnesota DFL Chair Brian Melendez.
Maybe they think we are so far gone towards gloabl warming that this is as bad as it gets.
You neglect the rest of the state, who tuesday night had high winds and rain... that threatened to turn to sleet... Most people in greater Minnesota are not desiring to drive 20 miles to their caucus locations to be a delegate in those kinds of threatening conditions. Whether it was really the weather or not, it was still a prtty decent turnout.
Can you remind me of the statewide GOP caucus turnout? I seem to have misplaced my notes...
