2003: Hatch Opposed Writing Constitutional Opinions On Bills Under Consideration. "Pawlenty's office distributed a 2003 letter from Hatch's office to a legislator saying they don't render constitutional opinions on bills under consideration. 'If we have previously opined that the law is unconstitutional, it would be extremely difficult to argue before a court that the law is constitutional,' that letter said." 2005: Hatch Wrote Constitutional Opinion On Bill Under Consideration. "Gov.
