KELLEY CAMPAIGN MAKING "WHERE'S MIKE?" T-SHIRTS
"We have our 'Where's Mike?' T-Shirts at the printer because Mike Hatch has not been seen for several months now. Most noticeably at the St. Paul Straw Poll last weekend. Not a sticker, letter, or piece of lit, let alone the candidate." Source: Steve Kelley for Minnesota blog

Where's Mike? He's out doing what needs to be done to be the next governor of Minnesota. He's raising money, he's talking to real people.
At first I thought perhaps Senator Kelley was running for Governor of the 394 corridor. They love him out there. Now it seems like he is running for Governor of the DFL. The last thing we need as another candidate that peaks in June.
No matter how much money he raises (and he is significanlty behind Hatch in terms of cash on hand), Senator Kelley will not be able to but himself a personality.
Mike Hatch is leading the race for governor according to every available indicator.
And I thought Steve Kelley was only cappable of wasting tax payer dollars? What does this accomplish other then remind observers Mike Hatch is the favorite to win the nomination and the primary?
Then again maybe it will work if he can show the DFLers he can come up with endless ways to waste money he probably will win the priamary.
Very interesting comments mike.
What I am able to decipher out of it is that since you are such a strong advocate for Independence Party (as shown recently through your discussions with MNCR), you have concerns with Steve Kelley, not because of his issues, but because he is the only candidate that has the capibilities to win over your base of voters.
Try to cut him down all you want, but Steve Kelley is the only DFL candidate who can win this election. He will get the DFL base by winning the DFL endorsment because of his progressive vision and strong voting record, and other than Lourey and Hatch, he has the ability to win in November - he will win the primary by showing, compared to Doran, he has the leadership necessary for the job - and he will win the general election because he will get the votes from the DFL, the independents, and moderate republicans.
Say what you want mike, but I know you can't deny that he has you a little worried.
