MN GOP RESPONDS TO DEAN JOHNSON'S "ALMANAC" APPEARANCE
Saint Paul- Republican Party of Minnesota Chairman Ron Carey tonight issued the following statement.
"Dean Johnson has repeatedly misled Minnesotans and has now acknowledged his own dishonesty.
"By continuing to blame others for his own untruths, Dean Johnson persists in demeaning the integrity of the Supreme Court and Legislature. Now that Dean Johnson has betrayed our trust, how can Minnesotans believe anything he says going forward?
"Dean Johnson needs to start telling the truth and stop stonewalling on a vote for the marriage amendment."

This shows that party chair Carey isn't interested in the issue about the courts - he's interested in this issue to try to pressure Johnson to hold a vote on the Bachmann amendment. The two issues aren't connected.
