OTTO'S SPIN OF HER POOR STRAW BALLOT RESULTS GETS DESPERATE

Former DFL State Representative and now candidate for state auditor, Rebecca Otto, has won the gold medal for her attempts to spin her poor straw ballot results.

As of 11:30 a.m., the DFL is reporting that Otto received 10,103 votes out of 21,790 votes cast. This is 46.4% of the vote with 87.9% of the precincts reporting. 41.2% of the people voted for "other/undecided."

With only two candidates in the race to be the DFL candidate for state auditor, Otto must have been disappointed with the low numbers and lack of support.

Otto added her vote total of 10,103 with Reggie Edwards' total of 2,710 and then calculated that she had received 79% of the votes cast for either candidate.

Otto can spin all she wants, but the reality is that only received 46.4% of the people who voted want her to be the DFL nominee for state auditor.
