Mike, I would like to know if Colling is resigning from his job at the State Capitol?

I seem to remember something about rats and sinking ships…

Umm Gary, these people are coming to the campaign. Dave Colling headed the ground effort which won the DFL 13 seats in the House. Dave also ran Rebecca Ottos first campaign when she actually won. To get Colling would be a huge step up.
Seeing the Republicans in the US House turn on the President is more applicable to your analogy of rats and sinking ships.

Yeah. Do you really think this change is going to clear the path for Alan Fine?
I mean, seriously. Y’all talk constantly about how Democrats have nothing positive to say, but give you a race where your guy has no chance, and you still are taking cheap shots in an effort to somehow make yourselves feel better.

Why on earth would Colling quit his caucus job? What do you think legislative staffers do between sessions if they don’t work on campaigns? The people’s business? Hah!

The part about this that I find most interesting is that this is an Matt Entenza staffer that is being sent to help Ellison. A Star Tribune article earlier this year stated that Entenza was a law school classmate of Ellison at the University of Minnesota. This would lead one would presume that Entenza must have been (or should have been) aware of Ellison’s opinions and advocacy of Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam while in law school. I wonder if there will be any potential political fallout for Entenza’s AG candidacy over these links with Ellison.
I don’t know the answer, but it’s an interesting question to ponder.

I’m sure Alan Fine will do an awesome job of representing Israeli interests in the US Congress. Think about it, he will vote to send the American Army to Iran before they are even done with their mission to protect Israel from Iraq.
It will be wonderful for Israel. Who cares about the dumb trailer trash Christians who die while serving in the American Army?

My understanding is Mr. Colling is part of the “leadership staff.” With the impending hand over to Rep. Kelliher, Mr. Colling’s job would be over and Rep. Kelliher would bring in her own staffer for that position.
In the end, this may just be a part of the transition to new House leadership. But I could be wrong.

Northsider. Your insights are appreciated.
Chuck J. I’m not sure if you are for real or a conservative mocking the left.

Re: concerned in MPLS. You didn’t answer my question. If Colling is working for a U.S Congressional candidate he shouldn’t be paid by
the State of Minnesota !!!!!

DAVE COLLINS-
IF YOU CAN SHOW ME PROOF REGARDING YOUR QUOTE FROM THE CONSTITUTION, I’LL BE SATISFIED.
YOU CANNOT PROVIDE THAT QUOTE, BECAUSE THERE IS NO SUCH QUOTE IN THE CONSTITUTION. PLEASE KEEP THE SO-CALLED CONGRESSMAN AS FAR AWAY FROM THE CAPITOL AS YOU CAN. SINCE YOU’RE REPRESENTING THIS MAN BY TRYING TO CHANGE THE CONTENTS OF THE CONSTITUTION, THEN I SUGGEST THAT YOU RETURN TO THE PRIVATE SECTOR. THE QUORAN? I THINK NOT.
