A MESSAGE FROM MDE

By Michael B. Brodkorb | June 18, 2006

I am excited to announce that starting Monday, I will be a part-time consultant to Mark Kennedy's U.S. Senate campaign.  I am not a full-time paid campaign staffer and the concept of me working with Mark Kennedy's campaign only became a reality in the last few days.

Since the ideas and opinions expressed on Minnesota Democrats Exposed are exclusively my own, I will continue this blog.

I am not now, nor have I ever been paid to blog. I am under no legal obligation to disclose a professional business relationship with a campaign on my personal blog.  But my ethics are not governed by legal interpretations.  I strongly believe I have personal responsibility to inform the readers of Minnesota Democrats Exposed and my fellow bloggers of my new association with Mark Kennedy's campaign.

Bloggers in Minnesota do a great job of policing other bloggers with undisclosed professional connections to campaigns. But the ultimate responsibility lies with each individual blogger to ensure they operate their blog without an inherent conflict of interest.  As I am a Republican operative who exposes Minnesota Democrats, I am continually aware of my responsibility to disclose any conflict that could tarnish the effectiveness of my blog.

The over-all content of Minnesota Democrats Exposed will not change, but to ensure transparency you may notice a small drop in my coverage of the U.S. Senate race.  I will still provide direct links via Minnesota Democrats Exposed to the websites of all three U.S. Senate campaigns, including Amy Klobuchar and Ford Bell.

Minnesota Democrats Exposed is not created, endorsed, sponsored, or authorized by any political party, candidate, or candidate's committee. It's all me and always will be and I am very proud of Minnesota Democrats Exposed.

Congratulations, Michael. Any campaign would be lucky to get you.

I wasn’t aware there were only 3 US Senate candidates. Qualify it any way you want, just don’t use the word all unless you actually mean all.

If Hitler were still alive, he’d be so proud!

    Congrats!

Congratulations, but be careful. Everything you say on MDE will be watched soooo closely to find even a minor slipup that can be used against Mark.

But on the other hand, as long as the Dems are represented by people like Paul Bartlett (see comment #3 above), maybe we don’t have anything to worry about.

They can try – but this site is all me.

[...] Brodkorb is on the Kennedy payroll.  He will be an enormous boon to the campaign. [...]

Congrats!! Best of luck to you.

I’m all for debate but Paul’s comment is unacceptable.

“If Hitler were still alive, he’d be so proud!”

A comment from Today’s Democrat whose motto is “anyone who doesn’t agree with me must be a Nazi”.

As far as the “Republicans are Nazi’s”, I view it not so much as an attack on conservative-Americans, but holocaust deniel on the part of the left.

If the Democrats say Nazi Germany was no worse then America today, then your side is deneying that there were millions of victims of the death camps, the horrible experiments such as dropping dyes into people eyes in efforts to change their colors. The slave labor and mass starvation.

I realize this is something your side has done going back to about 1970 (writing Nixon’s name with a swasitka instead of an “x”) and the punk rock thing in the 70′s (no, the bands today are not very orginal, just copying what was done 30 years ago).

From KvM. “Brodkorb has ascended to Karl Rove-like demonhood.”

Wait until the left finds out that your site is being funded by Haliburton.

    Bahahahahahahahahaha.

  13. Roving Reporter Says:
    June 19th, 2006 at 1:27 PM

Yeah. Michael is bad, but he’s no Hitler.

    Goebbels, perhaps, but NOT Hitler.

  14. Dave Says:
    June 19th, 2006 at 2:54 PM

Goebbels, the man who murdered his own family. Well, if you are pro-choice……
