MINNEAPOLIS PENSION OFFICIALS PREVENT WATCHDOG FROM WATCHING
By Michael B. Brodkorb | June 21, 2006
"The state auditor has accused board members of the failing Minneapolis teachers pension fund of creating an illegal $1.5 million trust for themselves and a top manager shortly before the fund is scheduled to merge with a larger state pension operation.
Auditor Pat Anderson directed aides to secure records from the Minneapolis fund, but they retreated Tuesday after a confrontation with pension officials at the fund's downtown offices.
'They told our staff to get out,' Deputy Auditor Tony Sutton said. 'They kicked our staff out.'
The auditor's office obtained some financial records before leaving and took the rare step of issuing a subpoena to gain others that may be relevant to the trust." Source: Star Tribune, June 21, 2006

Can anyone here spell the word “corruption”? Or maybe “cover up”?
I knew you could.
I’d watch the garbage for shreaded documents.

Finally, the union toadies have work to do — shred and hide the documents Whitewater-style.

Can someone do a cross check on who these
goons are donating to at the same time
they shred documents left and right?

I think Mike Hatch is playing this right. Why didn’t you include that part in your post Michael?

Patty Anderson had to do SOMETHING to save face after she managed to lose three laptops full of personal data. Way to deflect Patty.

Disgusted – how did Anderson “manage” to lose the laptops. She wasn’t the one carrying them. Talk about deflection — it’s disgusting!

This is a reasonable disagreement on what protections are due (and needed by) the outgoing directors and staff from long-tail claims. Granted, it’s a weird and imaginative way to make sure that insurance is purchased to cover past acts, but, if it were my butt on the line for possible lawsuits concerning really really bad results, I’d want to make sure there was coverage. My impression was that that was the main goal. But, at the same time, an auditor HAS TO challenge this one, if for no other reason than, a court needs to look this over.

Backdoor Becky slithers into a state rep’s seat in a special election (where 20% of the registered voters actually voted) and she gets beat immediately! And now you Demo-hacks make her your victim for State Auditor? She couldn’t find governmental waste with a road map.

So, would you say that Patty is not responsible for the contents of her office that are not directly on her desk, but Amy Klobuchar is responsible for prosecutions mishandled by attorneys in her employ?
You never cease to amaze me with your cosistency, Chris.
