   On a COPY of a letter written regarding an issue THREE YEARS AGO that was well BEFORE he was convicted.

   I don’t care when the letter was signed. Forciea pleaded guilty to financial crimes and Otto lists him as a supporter.

   Well, Im SURE that when Becky hired him through her position on the Forest Lake school board, it was a competitively bid contract.

   Given the fact that Pat Forciea and Rebecca’s husband Shawn Otto were business partners.

   Competitively bid or not, it seems to me that she should have abstained from voting as a member of the school board for a lucrative contract for Pat Forciea’s company, Agenzia, because of the obvious conflict of interest.

   At least the Forest Lake School District had the good sense to end the contract with Forciea once Rebecca became a State Legislator and Pat was off to jail.

   Forest Lake schools hired Agenzia in 2001, before Otto was on the school board. So did several other school districts around Minnesota.

   The independent decisions 5 years ago of a duly elected school board and administration that did not include Rebecca Otto have no bearing on her race for State Auditor now.

   Further, I looked at her site and Forciea is not listed as a “supporter” of Otto’s. He is listed as a supporter of the letter he signed in 2003, 3 years ago, which was reprinted on Otto’s site back then.

   Attributing the support to her current campaign for state auditor is false. In fact, the House Republican Campaign Committee was found guilty of violating Minnesota’s fair campaign practices act for attacking Otto in the past with just such a false attribution as this one, also archived on her site.

   It appears you are guilty of a violation of Minnesota’s fair campaign practices act as well.

   Oh Michael,the fact that Shawn Otto and Forciea
   were partners makes no difference to DFL Boileroom commentators like “Forest Laker” !
