Just so you Rowley apologists know, her campaign put out a retraction earlier this week because she was indeed “lying” about something Congressman Kline said.

Huh???? Who cares how he voted in 2005????? So are you saying the only vote that counts is the one that you agree with or the one you want to count????

Look, what the Rowley campaign did was attribute a specific quote to the Congressman. Not a vote, a quote. Ms. Rowley’s campaign needs to source the quote or they need to drop the claim.

Now if they wanted to point to the votes, that would be a different story – but they are not…and that is why they are in trouble!

Who cares how he voted in 2005. In 2004, he voted to send troops to the border. Since we all know that once a politician says something, that is what they believe forever, John Kline’s vote in 2004 sealed his fate as being in favor of sending troops to the border.

(And, for the record, something fishy is up with Chris’ post, as it was not posted before ANY of my earlier posts, but now somehow it appeared right in the middle)

Roving Reporter says Kline’s voting record is indicitive on where Kline stands on an issue. Here it is:

2005: Voted against H. Amdt. 206 to H.R. 1815 to authorize troops on the border Rep. Kline voted against authorizing the Secretary of Defense to assign members of the military, under certain conditions, to assist in the performance of border control functions. H. Amdt. 206 passed the House by a vote of 245-184.
