"Researcher Sought Details On Hatch Parking Ticket
ST. PAUL (AP) _ The Chicago-based researcher hired by Rep. Matt Entenza to seek data on the workings of DFL Attorney General Mike Hatch's office also inquired with a local sheriff about a parking ticket Hatch got in 2003.
Thursday's revelation shows that V.J. Bustos' search for data extended beyond Hatch's professional duties and into his personal life. Entenza, the DFL-endorsed candidate for attorney general, has denied trying to dig up dirt on his fellow Democrat, now the party's candidate for governor.
E-mail exchanges and correspondence that turned up the parking citation were first released by Minnesota Democrats Exposed, a Web site run by a GOP political operative. The documents are genuine, Capt. Steve Theriault of the Dakota County Sheriff's Office later confirmed to The Associated Press.
Neither Entenza nor campaign officials had an immediate comment on the new disclosure. Bustos didn't return phone or e-mail messages." Source: Associated Press, July 13, 2006
