POLINAUT: DCCC MAKES $400,000 AD BUY FOR OCTOBER

By Michael B. Brodkorb | July 24, 2006

The DCCC isn't buying ad time to talk about the positive attributes of Patty Wetterling.

##

"WCCO-TV's public file says the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has purchased $403,425 in television ads during the last month of the election. The 271 ads will run on the daily newscasts, Oprah, the soaps and the NFL pregame shows. KSTP-TV didn't show a similar buy. I didn't check the other stations." Source: Polinaut, July 24, 2006

Haha, this should be fun. I wonder how they’ll step on their own toes in all those ads!

They’re probably assuming that Bachmann will use the exact same tactic as Mark Kennedy did and, as you put it, not talk about the positive attributes of Michele Bachmann.

I’ll be happy that I have Netflix when October comes around. Local TV will be nasty.

Hey, MDE can fact check the DFL ads. And I would like to see the Democratic-types who stop by here do the same with the Republican ones.

“They’re probably assuming that Bachmann will use the exact same tactic as Mark Kennedy did…”

You mean like talking about her lack of experience and her endorsements by lefty wacko nutjob organizations?

OooooOOOoooo! Evil Democrats buy ad time on TV!

    Scary!

Is there a single shred of evidence that it won’t be positive campaigning?

Don’t confuse the DCCC with the DSCC. These ads may actually contain content. What content I can’t say, but I can tell you what you won’t be hearing in any October Republican ads: George Bush’s name.

So what? She can see what they’re doing to Keith. I wish all of our candidates could buy ads to get their story out.

    Dave wants to know:
“Hey, MDE can fact check the DFL ads. And I would like to see the Democratic-types who stop by here do the same with the Republican ones.”

MDE couldn’t fact cheack a nursery rhyme if the cow jumped over the moon.

Allow me to pre-check the GOP ones now. LIES. There I’m done.

…apparently I couldn’t spell if the mouse ran up the clock.
