WCCO: HATCH’S CONDUCT MAY BE CAUSED BY THE HEAT

By Michael B. Brodkorb | July 29, 2006

"Mike Hatch Is Hot

The Attorney General and Democratic candidate for governor filed a complaint against Minneapolis Star Tribune reporters accusing them of asking 'sleazy' personal questions.

Hatch suggested a conspiracy at the famously liberal newspaper to elect a Republican governor.

It must be the heat.

Usually the Dog Days of Summer are down times for stories like these politics, but this year, the campaign temperatures are already rising and the politics — hot and heavy." Source: WCCO-TV, July 28, 2006

Not only the HEAT, but as we’ve said before it’s
the KOOLADE that the LIBERAL DFLERS are drinking
by the TANKER TRUCK that’s sending them over the edge!

Who is Kessler to say “objectivly” that the Strib is “famously liberal?”

    Echo… echo… echo…

MDE is the Echo Canyon of Minnesota politics… with no justifiable opinions of his own, it just repeats what others say.

Especially when they repeat what MDE says.

    Empty… empty… empty…

“MDE is the Echo Canyon of Minnesota politics”

Don’t you love it when you’ve gotten under the skins of lefties?

  5. Brian Hanna Says:

Evil: // under the skins //

Incorrect. I’m having a blast needling you in your own clubhouse. :’)

  6. Chris Says:
    July 29th, 2006 at 9:22 PM

Once again, Brian is listening to the wind blow between his ears (echo echo echo) instead of paying attention to what’s really going on out there.

  7. huh Says:

Hatch is so screwed. Meanwhile, Pawlenty
    just smiles. Keep screaming Mike.

  8. Brian Hanna Says:
    July 29th, 2006 at 10:21 PM

Heh. Chris, if you only had a clue, you’d post it. However, nothing you post holds water.

You’re just a rock in Echo Canyon.

  9. Just the Facts, Mam Says:

    BH-

Until MDE changes policies on posting, ala DU or KOS, your free to post (pretty much) anything you want.

I have never been affraid of your lies when you post. I just find it pathetic.

Facts are not the friends of the DFL.

Comments are mere graffiti spraypainted around the margins.

Nothing I post holds water, huh Brian Hanna. Did you go back and look at the 7 or so articles that I posted about how I was correct that a group of billionaires have been funding the Democrats for the past several years — something you questioned and something that has been in the news repeatedly. I will not be lectured by the premier glittering jewel of colossal ignorance in the state.

  12. Brian Hanna Says:
    July 30th, 2006 at 10:08 AM

    Just: // lies //

Quote my lie, and prove it’s false.

Pathetic is slandering Democrats for the “heat”.

Pathetic is echoing news reports about nothing.

Pathetic is ignoring GOP lies and pretending the DFL is terrible. For example, making a big deal out of ERY’s comments about her use of the “DFL”, but totally ignoring Sen. Day’s staffer sending an anonymous campaign piece accusing one fellow GOP candidate of incest.

    What about them facts, Ma’am?

  13. Sundog Says:
    July 30th, 2006 at 10:52 AM

As I said in response to a post down below: “…Brian, this back and forth is juvenile. Someone could have pictures of your candidate doing unnatural things with barnyard animals, and you’d defend the pictures as demonstrating he’s pro-agriculture.

FYI…I like Mike Hatch, and have always voted for him in the past for AG. I would have supported him for that office again this time, but I won’t be supporting him for Governor.”

Brian’s not looking to discuss things… he’s just looking to muddy up the waters. I’ll be ignoring him from now on.

  14. Just the Facts, Mam Says:
    July 30th, 2006 at 11:27 AM

    BH-

What does a staffer for Sen. Day have to do with the DFL putting the smack down on Ember? They are two totally unrelated events and absolutely different in every respect.

Its a lie/misdirection to argue that anyone here has said otherwise.

NOBODY is defending what that lone staffer did. (I suppose any more than the DNC paying homeless people in WI. with cigarettes to vote for them)

When you actually come up with a good arguement to identify a reason for Hatch’s actions, I look forward to your post.

  15. Dave of the VRWC Says:
    July 30th, 2006 at 12:34 PM

Saw a car in a parking lot in Richfield Saturday. It has some bumper stickers promoting various Democrats. Had one that said something like “Had Enough? Vote Democratic”. Next to it was a sticker bashing Christians.

Pssst, DFLers, you’re not going to win all that many converts by bashing Christianity. Those bigots are already voting Democratic. You’ve gotten the ACLU vote tie up.

  16. jimj Says:
    July 30th, 2006 at 12:40 PM

Great post Just the Facts ! It’s what DFLers always do! NEVER ANSWER THE CHARGE, JUST MISDIRECT WITH A CHARGE OF THEIR OWN !

  17. Brian Hanna Says:
    July 30th, 2006 at 12:46 PM

Chris: // a group of billionaires have been funding the Democrats for the past several years — something you questioned //

No, I did not. You claimed same billionaires control the Democrats, a fact not supported by your 7 articles, and for which you have not presented any proof.

In fact, the articles clearly showed Republicans raising more money than Democrats.

  18. Brian Hanna Says:
    July 30th, 2006 at 12:48 PM

Sunny: // Brian’s not looking to discuss things… he’s just looking to muddy up the waters. //

    Sure… just like MDE.

Hey, if you have REAL PROOF about a REAL CRIME, then post it. If you have facts to back up your slander, post them.

The biggest missing piece here is facts and proof. Most of what I read is simply slander.

  19. Brian Hanna Says:
    July 30th, 2006 at 12:52 PM

Facts: // What does a staffer for Sen. Day have to do with the DFL putting the smack down on Ember? They are two totally unrelated events and absolutely different in every respect. //

Not really. They both deal with campaign messaging and intraparty disputes.

The GOP focus is on trying to make a mountain out of the DFL dispute molehill, while one GOP side a candidate is being accused of molesting his own 14 year old daughter in campaign messaging.

Again, my recommendation is to pluck the log out of your own eye.

  20. Bob Johnson Says:
    July 30th, 2006 at 1:15 PM

It appears the Strib has been making attempts to be unbias lately.

    Must be the declining circulation.

  21. Dave of the VRWC Says:
    July 30th, 2006 at 4:19 PM

“It appears the Strib has been making attempts to be unbias lately.”

I’m one of the loudest critics of that paper, but from skimming through it when someone brings it to work, outside of the editorial and comic pages, they sometimes seem to be trying to balance things out a little. And even on the comics page, they carry Mallard Fillmore to help balance out the liberal ‘toons.
