Anne and Elizabeth Hatch told their father the trouble started when another patron made
sexual advances toward Elizabeth and she resisted.

The argument started inside but continued outside, when police were flagged down. The
argument continued with police officers, the cops told the girls to leave and they
reportedly refused.

Police Superintendent Phil Cline said one of the daughters kicked out the back window of a
squad car, which led to a damage to property charge against Anne Hatch.

The charge was similar to one contained in a Minnesota police report when she allegedly
“kicked the front door of a liquor store, breaking a neon sign,” after being caught using an older sister’s ID to buy beer.”

Outside Crobar early Saturday morning, her sister Elizabeth allegedly slapped an officer in
the face. Both were charged with resisting arrest.

“They’re very humiliated, very embarrassed, hurt,” Mike Hatch said.

Police allege that after the two were removed from the club, Elizabeth Hatch slapped an
officer with an open hand and knocked his glasses off. Police said Anne Hatch wrestled with another officer and scratched his face and later broke a police car window.

THE daughters of Minnesota attorney general, Mike Hatch, were arrested in Chicago. Two
daughters, Anne and Elizabeth, were partying with their mom at Chicago’s nightclub, Crobar.

After mom left, all hell broke loose.

They started “creating a scene and causing a disturbance,” said police spokesman Matthew
Jackson, and were asked to leave because they were intoxicated.

The women refused, and a security guard flagged down a police officer in the area, who also
asked the women to leave. The women allegedly began “yelling and screaming” outside the
club and then slapped two officers in the face, Jackson said.

I’m curious about the dads out there. If you were Hatch Would you

a) administer disipline or at least give them Sarah Janecek’s “30 years of fighting for feminism and now you do this” speech
b) capitulate all disipline responsibility to your wife despite the fact that she left them
there
c) none of the above; side with wife and daughters against the cops

This isn’t like Valarie Plame doing a Vanity Fair spread and then saying her privacy has been violated.

And Hatch has puppy’s on his web site.

So it is fair to investigate any candidate or candidate’s family, in any area of their life?

As a public figure, then, they have no right to privacy?
