ANOTHER BAD PRESS DAY FOR ELLISON
By Michael B. Brodkorb | August 18, 2006
"With the endorsements of the DFL and the most influential labor unions in the district, Ellison could be the front-runner. But he stumbled into some controversies coming out of the May 6 DFL endorsing convention.
He was forced to explain his association with the Nation of Islam and its controversial leader, Louis Farrakhan. Ellison, a Muslim, has denounced Farrakhan.
His only connection with the Nation of Islam, he said in an interview last week, was in helping to organize the 1995 Million Man March. He did so, he said, because he wanted to help African-American men who were struggling to find jobs get an education and avoid crime.
Last month, news reports revealed that Ellison's driver's license had recently been suspended for nonpayment of parking tickets and that he had been fined for failing to file state campaign finance reports on time.
Ellison has apologized for those mistakes. 'I'm sorry about it. I've fixed it,' he said.
Now that's behind him, he said, and he's moving on." Source: Pioneer Press, August 18, 2006

It’s time for Ellison to get out of the race so that the voters can look at the issues and decide which legitimate, ethical, experienced candidate to vote for.
My vote is for Ember Reichgott Junge. She’s the type of person I want representing me in Congress.

I think I will also be voting for Ember. She is the best candidate. I am keeping an eye to any opinion polls though. If it looks like Erlandson has a better chance of winning, I will vote for him. Ostrow seems to be dragging Erlandson more than Ember.

There is a poll conducted by Ellison’s labor union endorsers. It shows Reicghgott Junge in the lead by a small margin over Ellison and Erlandson a VERY distant 3rd. Reicghgott Junge is clearly positioned to trounce Erlandson, but neck and neck with Ellison.
It’s VITAL that Erlandson supporters who do not want to see Ellison as their next congressman, switch their primary vote to Reicghgott Junge. If that does not happen, the vote will split and Ellison will win.

Remeber a vote for Ellison is a vote for a scofflaw carpetbagger
And for Brian and RR: The definition of a scofflaw (because our public school system failed you):
Somebody who ignores or disregards the law
Carpetbagger: an outsider (from Michigan) whose only interest in coming to a place is to win it as a political seat (5th District Minnesota)

Yawn… find some real news. Really, dude. Some parking tickets? Some old tax trouble? Late one year on his corporation renewal?
Bet most regular Minnesotans understand not getting the paperwork all in on time.
Now sending our National Guardsmen off to Iraq without body armor, that’s the question. Who was responsible for that?
Republicans going to war without planning, without enough troops, and without paying for it.
It was more important to give tax breaks to the lake-yacht Republicans than it was to buy body armor for our boys.
Now that’s an issue.
Time for a change in Washington, for sure.

This is where you are wrong Brian, you nit wit. Most regular Minnesotans do obey the law, they pay their taxes, they pay their tickets, they don’t write separtists statements, and they live ethical lives. They want the same in their Congressperson.
And not someone who is going to give lip service to jewish / Israel then turn his back on them when he is elected.

KH: // Most regular Minnesotans do obey the law //
Nothing like being misquoted!
I said they understand it.
Just like they understand who voted to give dozen-acre squires a tax break instead of uparmor our troops.

I wish Brian would stop posting on this blog, he just brings the democrats down to a bad level.

Hey Meredith… if you have an alternative viewpoint, spit it out.
If you really object to my participation, give me a call. I’m in the book.
August 19th, 2006 at 9:46 PM
My alternative viewpoint is to send an ethical and value-driven person to Congress as opposed to your viewpoint to send a someone who has a long history of disobeying and who has written separtist statements. Both of which are proven, documented facts that are relevant to politcal race…hardly old and irrelevant and regardless of whether your a dem or rep.
Btw, enough said for me in terms of you because you are SCARING me with your obsessive / compulsiveness with posting on this blog, MB himself, and having to always make the last post. And the tipping point is asking me to call you. Please do not directly communicate with me again.

Well, if it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck…

Meredith: just wait until after the election when the DFL wins only the US Senate seat and possibly the MN House. At that point it will be clear that Brian Hanna’s extremist and irrational positions have cost the DFL the best opportunity for a Minnesota sweep in 20 years.
BH will, of course, offer all sorts of post hoc arguments about lack of unity, divisive politics, dirty campaigning by Republicans, blah blah blah. He will never accept blame or responsibility — it’s anathema for a left wing radical to do so.
But reason will prevail and it will be clear that he and his co-horts blew it for the rest of us and they will have to retreat to a third party where they can plot their overthrow of the western world unfettered by reality. It’s only a few more months before the DFL forces them to slither away.

// Brian Hanna’s extremist and irrational positions //
Hahahahhahahahhahah
Yeah, whatever.

Did you here Erlandson’s disgraceful race-baiting at the State Fair debate yesterday? He interrupted the debate to pose his own question to Ellison, asking whether it was not in fact inappropriate that Rybak got boo’ed on the North Side when he went up recently to discuss gangs and gang-related violence. Ellison replied that OF COURSE it was inappropriate. But I’m wondering why the heck Erlandson thinks it is Ellison’s job to pass judgment on the actions of all black people, even all black people in his neighborhood? Erlandson is just trying to scare people off of Ellison as some kind of scary black man. Disgraceful technique.
