COUNTDOWN TO MDE ON THE RADIO: SHOWTIME!

By Michael B. Brodkorb | August 19, 2006

Starting TODAY, I'll be co-hosting a two-hour radio program from 3-5 p.m. with King Banaian of SCSU Scholars on AM 1280 The Patriot.

I encourage you to all to listen.  I'm so nervous, I may puke on the microphone.

UPDATE: Broadcasts can be heard on AM 1280 The Patriot, which has an Internet stream for those outside the Twin Cities. Brave Democrats can join the conversation at 651-289-4488.

UPDATE #2: The first show is over and I had a great time.  I sometimes talk too fast, but I'll do a better job next week.

Very sexual logo… nothing like a little subliminal suggestion to help your cause!

Hey, relax – probably a lot of Dixie Chicks haters will call in. You’ll do fine.

That sounds good to me ! What’s great is that it
won’t interfere with the TWINS pre-game show !

You’ll be fine Michael. I plan on calling in, too.

Are you too incompetent to combine both thoughts into one post, or is it just masturbatory goodness hitting the Submit button over and over, Brianiac?

    “Very sexual logo…”

Great. A potty mouth AND a pervert.

  13. Brian Hanna Says:
    August 19th, 2006 at 7:09 PM

Hey, I’m not the one putting up sexy logos or talking about sexual acts. Talk to your gang about that.

That’s if you can pry them away from Bill O’Reilly’s prose.

I don’t know what you’re seeing but I see a microphone, compass and text. If you’re seeing anything else there it’s all you, buddy.

  17. Jamie Says:

    Michael,

I don’t think you talk too fast. You talk just right.
You made the case against Otto and the spreadsheet well despite sympathy for Otto’s spreadsheet troubles from your co host. DFL party chair Brian Melendez reminds me of Hatch. He may want to work on that if you plan to have him on.

Ron Carey was great! We will know soon – possibly by September – whether the Republicans RNC is coming to town!
The official recommendation in November is a few weeks after the DNC’s decision. We will be locked out if the DNC decides to come here in October so I think the RNC should decide early to choose us. They need commitment from the business community.
The final decision is in January.
Can you invite to your show Wendy Anderson, Elmer Andersen, AAA (Andy Aplikowski), Swiftee, Mondale (SR or Jr), Arne & Barbara Carlson or Jason Lewis? Review their blogs, books, or audio recording first and ask them about items you find there.
Can you have as a guest Michael J Davis, the recent FISA court judge?
These are the FISC people http://www.fas.org/irp/agency/doj/fisa/court2005.html

Ask him how many FISA requests per day the FISC could handle. Nail him good on this; maybe the whining Bush bashers will finally shut up.

    Good job!
    Jamie

  18. Dan Says:

I listened. I was amused by the hypocricy.
It’s gotta be getting harder to keep blindly supporting Pawlenty when he has become a complete socialist. “The era of small government is over,” he declared and “government has to get more proactive, more AGRESSIVE.” He’s throwing Republicans and conservatives overboard. Luckily, we have a better option. Toss Pawlenty off the ballot and vote Jeffers in the primary. Some have called her “Pawlenty’s Jeffers problem.” This is a pretty clear demonstration that Sue Jeffers isn’t a problem. She’s a solution! So when you having her on the show?

  19. Rob Says:
    August 20th, 2006 at 7:50 AM

    Michael,

I hope you’ll consider speaking at the SD63 Chili Dinner. We could use a big name talent like you.

    Keep up the good work.

  20. Dave of the VRWC Says:
    August 20th, 2006 at 9:44 AM

Dan, I agree that many of today Republicans are really Democrat-lite……look at the massive growth in Fed’l gov’t over the past 5.5 years. But, to me the Dems would be worse and I can’t vote for a weaker Republican or libertarian. Unless he screws up, T-Paw should win. I don’t see Jeffers wining the general election.

By the way,I missed the show yesterday, hope to hear a replay tonight.

  21. jimj Says:
    August 20th, 2006 at 2:32 PM

A “complete socialist” DAN ? What about your
“libertarian” Sue Jeffers who seems to be against
every government expenditure except the wasteful
white elephant (no pun intended) GOPHER FOOTBALL
stadium which will be built a block from HER BAR !

  22. Sara Nelson Says:
    August 20th, 2006 at 10:23 PM

jimj- you are ignornant, here, i see… because “republican” and “socialist” are on complete OPPOSITE sides of the political spectrum.

Whereas Sue Jeffers merely aligned herself with another conservative party for a time because the GOP tried to shut her up……then she grew some balls and decided to take on the “weenie” himself in the primary. didn’t you know that the libertarian party is basically the ancestor of the current GOP?

And Sue hasn’t been shy about the fact that the GOVERNOR’S approval of a gopher stadium WILL BENEFIT HER BUSINESS…… she doesn’t hide it AT ALL.

I had a comment deleted from this thread and I really have no idea why. I simply mentioned Mark Kennedy’s claims to be a working CPA.
