Tim Walz doesn’t come from money, and if he was drunk in Nebraska, that would be on his record. The real story of how “dui” got on his record is coming out but the folks in Nebraska haven’t produced the records yet, but all you really need to know is that the fact that “dui” is on the ticket means that Tim not being tried for that charge means there wasn’t a good basis for the charge. Once that paper trail starts, it doesn’t stop without cause. Not in Nebraska.

The complete story will come out just as soon as the Republican recordkeepers down there run out of excuses for not copying and mailing the files but until then these threads will be jampacked with sanctimony and double standards.

If Mr. Walz had a long, chronic record of dangerous driving, then he suitable for public office.

But one incident 11 years ago? C’mon. This is why people who don’t read and write blogs 18 hours a day are becoming less and less interested in politics.

Rob Leighten, first term Rep. from Austin, gets knocked out cold in a bar fight in Austin (obviously drunk and crabby). The result, he wins by a record margin in his re-election bid.

Tom Rukavina, Virginia Rep, picked up by cops and convicted of drunk driving. Next election, he wins by a huge margin.

Oh ya, one more thing: It did not appear to hurt Republican Pres GW Bush to have drug and alcohol charges hanging over his past, eh?

Get real boys and girls, this may mean an extra 5 points from the hook and bullet crowd in the 1stCD!

Michael Brodkorb admitted that he himself has a speeding a ticket. Was this after a night of drinking with strippers and lobbyists? I want to know the truth behind Brodkorbs inability to follow the law. Is this a pattern? If he can be so loose with the law, that is clearly stated every two miles or less for those with bad memories, how can he be trusted to stick to the facts on a simple blog?

I want the truth!

Does that stuff happen in Nebraska?

I mean, he did ingore the posted speed limit… by about 40MPH.

And, he also ignored the label on the beer bottle that said, “Alcohol can impare your driving abilities and possibly result in your loss in a congressional election down the road”.

Ignoring things in the hopes that they don’t resurface is not exactly a winning strategy for you DFL maniacs.

How many times have you gone to jail for speeding? And how many times have you gone 96 miles an hour in a 55 zone sober?

Democrats are unbelievable. They ignore the truth and then call people smear merchants. You can have your own opinions but you can’t have your own facts and the facts are that the arresting officer put Walz in jail for excessive speeding and drunk driving.

It’s amazing the lengths these libs will go to lie about the facts. Raving and the rest of you people can have your own opinions, but you cannot have your own facts.

So, yes, he was charged with DUI. And, yes, he was convicted of Reckless Driving. All of this “he wasn’t CHARGED . . .” is wrong.

At the same time, he was never convicted of DUI, which is what’s supposed to count. But, remember, it’s only to the STATE that things like this don’t count (but, remember, this can still count as an alcohol-related offense in later revo computations.) There’s no law, no rule, no understanding that says that the original charge can never be mentioned by non-state actors (um, us) especially in these most common of circumstances where it’s obvious what happened.

And, finally, a small-time DUI 11 years ago? C’mon, man. Few of us could stand that level of scrutiny (or at least few of us who have lived interesting enough lives for me to ever want to speak to them.)

He was not charged with DUI, and your attempts at making him seem guilty of said crime just show how desperate Gil has become.

Shouldn’t you admit, once again for the record, that you also have a speeding ticket? With the speed with which you post unsubstantiated stories, I think your ability to properly run a blog should be brought into question.
