Ok, what’s different about those than anything that we’ve had on amysrecord.com or mikeunhatched.com for the last 6 months? I was hoping for more.

Who is Alan Fine? No, really? Who is he? Most people have never heard of him.

    Fuck you asshole.

And no one probably will hear about him. Everyone will be preoccupied watching Keith Ellison makes a mockery out of our state by making a fool of himself.

If you thought the media craze around Jesse Ventura was bad, wait until the MSM get their hands on the first Muslim in Congress come January.

We’re so progressive in Minnesota, we should be proud of ourselves. blech.

yeah, was hoping for more too. only a smattering of current info. ok raving…there’s your opening.

I’ve never seen so many people running scared because of a guy’s race and religion. Minnesota Nice is exposed for what it really is on the Republican side of the aisle: Minnesota Bigot. Ellison’s religion wouldn’t even be an issue if you Minnesota Bigots wouldn’t keep bringing it up like the boogey man.The fact that he’s black, well, just strikes another chord of fear in your dark hearts.

Are the Republicans completely bankrupt of any ideas?

    Apparently.

Dwight, get out of bed and look around for a second. You guys are going to use this defense all season against legitimate attacks on Ellison. Every time someone brings up an issue, someone else will jump and start the name calling “racist” “bigot” and the like. I know that fighting on the issues will be hard…but lets try.

Causation does not equal correlation…we’ve all heard this before. Just because Keith Ellison is black, and is a Muslim, does not automatically make someone who disagrees with him politically against his race and religion.

I’m a white, agnostic Republican. Are you against white people and agnostics if you don’t agree with me politically, Dwight? I don’t think I’d ever make that accusation….but you jump to it so very quickly when it’s easier than actually debating a candidate’s worthiness to hold office.

Dwight, give me a defense of Ellison rather than calling us names. Why is he the absolute best candidate to represent the 5th CD?

    I’m waiting.

nobody’s running scared, dwight. you want him to represent you in dc, send him. everybody knows you’ve got the votes. i actually hope, for your sake, he HAS undergone the metamorphosis he claims he has. unless of course, he hasn’t and you don’t have a problem with it. in either case, he’s what you want to represent your views and opinions in washington. you should get off the religion and race bit tho…it really has nothing to do with the discussion. it sounds silly.

  10. CR Says:

Dwight playing the race card has helped for only so many years, this is not about race or religion with Ellison it is about severe lack of ethics, laspes of judgement, and who he associates and has associtated himself with. If Republicans were so worried of race why would they endorse Obi Sium? Hmmm…your statement falls flat once again.

Wow. It’s good to see the GOP giving up on issue-based campaigns and going straight to the negative ads. Bravo, GOP, bravo.

waffletushie does have a good point on another post though, fellas. Ellison is all but assured a victory now. Every minute we spend going after him is a minute we could be going after the likes of Hatch and Klobuchar, who we actually have a chance of beating.

It certainly looks like we’ll have the upcoming years to work on Ellison (or for him to provide us more material), so I say let’s divert this attention and energy somewhere where it matters for the next 54 days. I’m off to find some Mark Kennedy lawn signs.

btw….Obi Sium is a hell of a guy.

It looks like Geo(STUPORman),JEFF and Roving STRIB Distorter are really LOSING IT ! Look in the MIRROR PEOPLE before YOU start PROJECTING your BIGOTED PATHOLOGY on anyone else ! And
Distorter, to answer your question, he is a well
respected U of M professor who is a social MODERATE, who you and your other DFL HACKS would
support in a heartbeat if HE WAS YOUR CANDIDATE !

JimJ, is calling people names and typing in capital letters the best you’ve got?

Andrew: // Why is he the absolute best candidate to represent the 5th CD? //

Because the 5th CD is about the most progressive district on the planet.

Because Keith has progressive values like getting us out of Iraq, putting America on the road to peace, and getting universal health care for everyone.

Despite all the slander and negative attacks, he stayed positive.

Keith’s values and ideas resonated well with the 5th CD electorate. It’s as simple as that.

Now other districts have a different makeup, and different candidates running. That’s as it should be.
