THE TACTICS OF LIBERAL BLOGGERS HAVE NO BOUNDARIES
By Michael B. Brodkorb | September 21, 2006
Members of the Minnesota media are getting an education today on the tactics of liberal bloggers in Minnesota. Mark Kennedy's campaign takes precautionary measures to protect campaign information and liberal bloggers have the nerve to complain.
Classy.

Sadly, so does the media.
Have you seen Polinaut lately?
September 21st, 2006 at 4:49 pm
Classic, MDE, just classic.
September 21st, 2006 at 5:11 pm
Classic or not, I’m impressed with MDE’s output. He’s been working as hard today as the Klobuchar campaign’s hard-disk-sanitizing team probably worked earlier this week.

Along with Polinaunt thinking this is a joke, just look at MNPUblius they think this is the greatest stunt and they think they made it onto Wonkette, which they didn’t. But they are all hooting and holleran. I’m glad they think this is so funny. Something tells me Amy and Tara don’t think it is so funny. And Noah, his political career just went up in smoke.

Michael, thanks for the humor.

Since when is Michael a “liberal”????

“The Tactics of Liberal Bloggers Have No Boundaries”
Michael, Michael, Michael. Look in the mirror. Or, in biblical terms, pull that log outta your eye, man.

Michael, you are either ignorant or a liar.
Kennedy did not “secure” his website. The source code remains visible to the public. Everything is still available. You can see the pages with no hacking involved. What Kennedy has done is the equivalent of throwing a sheet over a couch and saying, “Look! The couch is gone!” Pretty impressive and secure…against infants.
Perhaps you are ignorant of meta tags, redirects, and other HTML goodies. If so, you are in no position to make claims on what the blogger did or didn’t do. But if you aren’t ignorant, and you know that what your boss has done is in no way “securing a webserver”, then you are simply a bald-faced liar.

Hey, Mike, disclaimer?
Also, what MPG said–the fact that the Kennedy site was “down” but still secure enough to take donations is one of the biggest jokes I’ve ever seen.
September 21st, 2006 at 6:24 pm
Has anyone noticed that the reason there is an open senate seat for Kennedy to run for is because Mark Dayton closed down his office when he incorrectly perceived a security threat.
That’s not to say that Kennedy isn’t pulling some cheap political trick, but even if he is…

[...] But the breathless hyperventilating from the right has reached its apex, with the downing of Mark Kennedy’s website for security purposes: We were informed last evening of a serious security breach of sensitive Kennedy campaign information by a senior member of Amy Klobuchar’s campaign. Due to the fact this information was accessed via the internet, we are taking precautionary measures to protect our campaign information. We apologize for the inconvenience. The full features of our website will be restored once this matter has been resolved. [...]

‘Coverup Klobuchar’ has a lot of explaining to do here.
She is responsible for the actions of her staff and releasing a staffer under cover of darkness is even more suspect.
She better hold a press conference and speak about this soon…what is she continueing to WITHHOLD?
September 21st, 2006 at 7:52 pm
//under cover of darkness//
What the hell are you talking about Diane???
Tara received a link, which if Noah’s actions were illegal, she shouldn’t have looked at. But she did and she got fired for that decision. Sounds like she acted appropriately to me.
As for the argument that Klobuchar didn’t disclose the information fast enough. The Klobuchar press release clearly states that they quickly informed the FBI. They didn’t inform the public/media because they wanted to give the FBI time to look at the site and make their assessment what happened. Had they immediately disclosed what had happened the “crime scene” would have been useless because the website would certainly have been changed.
Klobuchar did nothing, NOTHING, wrong. She behaved completely appropriately and has gained no political advantage from some of her staffers having seen an ad which would probably have ended up somewhere in the public domain like, oh I don’t know ON TELEVISION, anyway.

Diane take a pill relax and go back and read the news again. You will find that there HAS been a press conference, the staff person HAS been let go, and the matter HAS been turned over to authorities. The Kennedy campaign says that it HAS shut down its website for protection, but when I just checked I was able to get the original site so I guess it HAS NOT been fully secured.

WE’ll, note how the dems always think they are the judge and jury…….now they just want to move on……..
Hey, the FBI has a few questions to ask……so just hold on little pony!
September 21st, 2006 at 11:04 pm
Amy needs to affress Mr. Kennedy’s questions and is NOT.
Henxe a press conference is due.
She owes him that if she is innocent.
Which I do doubt.
Tara McGuiness is not an intern, NOR a nocive, and NOT a newcomer to policy and ethics in campaigning.
She knew what she was doing!!!!
SHe knew.
Hell I would know and I don’t run campaigns!
Especially after the Ostrow debacle…I think everyone is senstive now to emails and campaigning!
And I do NOT beleive for a moment that AMY did not see that Ad in the five daus that they held the info before reporting it.
Not at all…
Are we supposed to buy the fact that it took her the five days to din a conscience here????
Sh eis in rough shape if that’s the case.
She’s guilty!
I think that the blogger himself had boasted to someone and they told someone else and it was confirmed that they had it and THEN and only then did AMY come clean and start removing Tara, who will show up soon at another campaign I am sure, and then after AMY debated Mark…and NEVER once mentioned the mess to him to his face with a full frontal oppportunity to do so, went and finally called the FBI cause it sounds like they were being fair and , face it, the FBI has a governmental ring to it and is authoritative and all…
She is a Coverup Queen if you ask me!
The Hennepin County Attorney WITHHOLDS criminal information…and she thinks it is criminal enough to warrant the FBI did you notice???
She finally took it there herself.
Probably not as the denial is oozing thick here with her.
She is a snotty spoiled brat who is leading her campaign with AMY’s Law!!!
It is all about AMY!!!!!
She took five days to bury as much as she could and then left town at the time of the announcement…
She’s yella!
Not guilty, ain’t innocent I say!
Keep an eye on tat one….she lies to us!

Minnesotans are learning that liberal bloggers understand technology and see through the national joke of Mark Kennedy pretending to take his site down. Why? To (literally) cash in on his accidental, desperately-needed publicity.
September 22nd, 2006 at 7:49 am
To say “liberal bloggers know no bounds” after the stream of filth posted on this Republican blog is the most ironic thing I’ve seen all season.
Just keep dodging the issues, Mark. Only 40-some days to go…
September 22nd, 2006 at 10:13 am
Diana you got to let the pill take effect first. Yes what was done was wrong, and it was and is being dealt with. But come on, we are talking about ONE campaign ad, which I believe was to be shown to the PUBLIC! Advantage? If Mark Kennedy believes for one second that this one ad was going to change the election, he certainly doesn’t deserve to serve us in Washington.
I have seen more dirt thrown by the author of this site that far out do what has happened here. Oh sure, the comment will be “but it was all legal”, but was it ethical? Until campaigns start to realize that ethics really do matter issues like this will have very little impact. Many will say well if you listen to the Kennedy Radio Ad perhaps he got what was coming to him.
Sum it up, Blogger Noah was in the wrong, Amy’s staff was in the wrong, Kennedy Campaign is in the wrong for closing down their website (not even the one that was “hacked”), the company in Texas was in the wrong for promising security but offering the kind that can get “hacked” into by trying only 18 different passwords. Let the FBI do their job, and lets get back to discussing the issues that really matter to those of us in Minnesota.
